Almighty has never been softy, during her lifetime she has been the one causing me a lot of trouble as she has been very dog aggressive. Years, I have avoided to add more such dogs to my pack that pick up fights. Not keeping such puppies and when needed dogs went to live families. Almighty was also getting old and the life was quite peaceful already till Wifi came. The only ones that could control Wifi and whom she respected were Almighty and General. So this time Wifi was together with Almighty, but it seems the granny did not have enough power to stand against young Wifi. Knowing Almighty, I can not blame Wifi, most probably there were two parties and most probably Almighty started the fight, just one is young and strong and the other one old and have not enough power anymore.
Pictures above are taken directly after she arrived home. Veterinary told that she is very strong and has strong heart.
23.03.14 Almighty went in the morning to the clinic and staid there till the evening. When she came back from the clinic after second day, she started to drink, she started to eat and she started to walk. Very tough granny. My family forbids me to post any more horrible pictures into Facebook. As they feel that our soft core pics that are posted into Facebook are already very difficult to people. So I did not.
But it is just so heartbreaking to see this so I have taken pictures of the situation and feel like sharing. I understand that people do not want to see such pics popping up constantly on Facebook. So I decided, instead of posting these pics into Facebook, to post these on my homepage so people could decide whether they want to look at these or not.
Pictures below are taken on the second day after when Almighty arrived back from the clinics. These are really hardcore already and its getting worse...
Almightys recovery is having constant ups and downs. One day she eats, walks and seems to be better. Other days she does not want to eat and is unable to get up and sometimes suddenly falls down on to the floor.
It is heart breaking...
When she feels better she is again like old pain in the ass Almighty that decides what she wants, does not listen to me and tells loudly her opinion. She refused to sleep in the bathroom at nights so I needed to move downstairs and now I sleep on couch at nights. Simply, because Almighty wanted to be in the living room. You know, she has her rights!
25.03.14 The forth day after the incident was again very difficult. Suddenly the dog, that seemed to be recovering, did not eat anymore and could not move. Luckily, it was another evening she had vet visit appointment scheduled.
The vet at the clinic was quite worried about the dogs situation as Almightys back had become black. She was cleaned there and all the procedures needed done and sent back home.
After that, at home, I noticed that there are watered blood drops coming out from her body. So I had a dog that was walking around in my living room and blooded around my house. I understood it actually was better for Almightys health that the blood was coming out then before when it staid inside. But really, I did not know what I liked more the situation before and having floor clean or the situation now and Almighty gets better. Ofcourse, I want Almighty to become healthy but it is just so ugly whats going on....
26.03.14 Again constant ups and downs. First half of the day she seems like getting better and makes my life miserable with her behaviour. Other half of the day she feels so bad that I feel so sorry about her. Rotten liquid is coming from all the largest wounds. And the smell is disqusting. I am so sad. So is she today.
27.03.14 At night she seems to feel better which means no sleep for me again. As she is interested to go around in the house and see whether she can find some food laying around or some better sleeping place for example like my couch. But better her to be active then passive.
This evening another visit to the clinic. It seems that things are getting worse. Again complications. And she has also managed to scratch herself and broke some skin. Pieces of the skin are just rotting and under skin is rotting and the smell is awful and she feels herself not good at all. Vet is not at all pleased what she sees. Tomorrow again back.
28.03.14 This morning Almighty feels better, walks around and acts already like recovering. However, the wounds are looking much worse, there are pieces rotting off from the wounds. When we tried to get her to wear plastic cone around the neck it was moving a bit and wound broke apart from two places and from the place where the neck had open wound piece it just broke apart to be double size. It is unbelievable what is happening. I am just trying to calm myself down that it is bodys heeling process but it really does not look nice.
In the evening, when I arrived home from work the situation have gone even worse. The open piece in the neck had become the size of a match box and the back is falling apart. It is unbelievable how it looks like. I have made some pictures but these look so terrifying that I am not going to post any pictures. Again visit to the vet and some cleaning was done. Tomorrow back to the operation table.
29.03.14 And it is getting even worse then yesterday. It is no possible for normal human being to imagine how it looked yesterday but it is even more difficult to understand how can it get even worse today then it was yesterday. Apparently, it did.
Today at 15:00 Almighty will be back on operation table.
It's 21.30 and Almighty is back at home from the second operation. It's heart breaking. She is again down and shaking all over her body.
I am crying...
30.03.14 Today has been better day then any other since the beginning. I just hope it is now going to be better day by day not other way around.
31.03.14 Almighty is seemingly having better times then last week. Eats quite satisfactory for her appetite. As in the evening she did not eat her food but by the morning bowl was emptied. She is also more adequate and responds to commands. Tomorrow back to the clinic to see how she has improved.
02.04.14 I have still idea whether Almighty is recovering or not as we have again complications. The wound on the back is breaking apart and does not look nice again. Almighty itself looks already much better, eats well and moves well for her age. Now she has a look like a war veteran which is much better than the previous "Dog of a Frankenstein".
We call her now "Almighty - The Undestroyable" or "Almighty - The Terminator" (from the movie when terminator was presumably killed and then he raised from "ashes").
Yes, my humour sense is back.
07.04.14 Almighty is slowly recovering.
21.04.14 Almighty is doing very well by now. Today going to remove already some of the stitches. The ear is completely recovered so I even can not see that it was ripped half but now it looks like typical normal ear. Even the hair is growing already back.
05.05.14 Almighty has most of the stiches removed and runs around the house with other dogs like old days.
Now I consider this subject closed :)
